Brands like Mari Cla Ro from Canada, Indolsole from Indonesia, Enzi from Ethiopia, Atlantic Leather from Iceland, Etrican from Singapore, and Junky Styling from United Kingdom are the modern day forerunners of eco-friendly fashion. Using innovative techniques of re-cycling, re-purposing and re-using, these international designers are part of the ongoing movement to help save the planet with fashion. We take an in-depth look at the unique materials and processes being used by these labels to create eco-friendly garments, bags and accessories; sourcing materials from the junkyards and landfills in North America and Indonesia, alternative leather sources from the Atlantic, re-purposing old clothes from the closets in London, and creating Eco-sustainable livelihoods in the communities of Ethiopia and India.
