August 2nd! That’s the date thousands of fashion‐lovers and fun‐seekers will let loose on the streets of
downtown Montreal in celebration of fashion’s biggest party night: the fourth annual Rallye Shopping
(RS), presented by the National Bank Allure MasterCard
in collaboration with LOULOU Magazine
Sleek, Urban Expressions and Surmon36.
When the clock strikes five, step out in style onto the pedestrian‐only Ste Catherine Street. There, close
to 70 leading retailers and designers will pump you full of party spirit, luring the RS’s more than 45,000
participants to discover their tailor‐made experiences. With discounts, contests, special in‐store events
and more, the Rallye’s DNA defines the spirit of shopping!
Even those whose shopping habits are a little on the tamer side won’t want to miss the hours of action
and excitement that punctuate the always‐anticipated RS event. From live DJs to vintage buses posing as
designer pop‐up shops and tons more in between, it’s the see‐and‐be‐seen event of the summer.
To further facilitate the chic shopping spectacle, the Rallye Shopping is going into overtime again this
year. Participating boutiques will remain open until 10pm on August 2nd to ensure participants get the
most out of their night on the town.

BUS STOP SHOP
More fashion designers are jumping on the Rallye Shopping bandwagon this year – or rather, the bus!
Vintage buses from the STM (Société de Transport de Montréal) will be rolling onto Ste Catherine, where
they’ll stand as pop‐up shops during the Rallye Shopping. Fashionistas simply have to hop on the bus to
get their hands on exclusive pieces, straight from the collections of their favorite designers! Watch for

They may have already conquered the runways of Paris, New York or Tokyo with their divine designs –
but did you know they hail from Montreal?
The Rallye Shopping puts the spotlight on Quebec talent with the DE:MTL campaign, underscoring the
importance of Montreal as a fashion hub in Canada. “The Québec fashion and clothing industry is the
core of this sector in Canada and one of the three major hubs in North America. This is a strategic field
for our economy. Its manufacturing component alone includes over 900 businesses, generating $1.7
billion in sales and $439 million in exports in more than 25 countries. This is why, in its last budget, our
government reiterated its support by announcing new investments of around $9.5 million and the
creation of a fashion working group,” affirmed Raymond Bachand, the Minister of Finance, Minister of
Revenue and Minister responsible for the Montréal region.
Look for the DE:MTL heart to identify and support local labels and designers during the Rallye Shopping.
