Première Vision – Preview New York
Next July 11th - 12th, Première Vision Preview New York will open its doors for an exclusive presentation of fabric collections for the Fall Winter 13 14 season. Already in its 25th edition, the show continues to be the leading event for top international textile mills seeking to further strengthen their ties to North American buyers. Some producers also choose the show to come meet the market for the first time, or to win it back after several editions of absence. This year there are 32 such companies. In all, 113 companies from 16 countries are taking part in Première Vision Preview New York, an 11% increase over the July 2011 edition. Italian weavers are the largest contingent, followed by companies from Turkey and France. All have been selected according to the strict criteria established by the Première Vision Selection Committee.
Fashion professionals will discover a rich and balanced offer of creative and high quality products for the season to come. Collections for fancy womenswear represent 40% of the offer. Menswear products for suits and shirtings, strengthened over the past two seasons, include some 20 renowned exhibitors. Buyers looking for mixed casual sportswear products can choose from among many collections (1/4 of the show's offer). Added to this are companies that make special or technical products, and trim suppliers.
Première Vision & the Hyères Festival
For the second time the New York show will shine a spotlight on young design talent. For two days, young designer Ragne Kikas, winner of the Première Vision Prize at the Hyères International Festival of Fashion & Photography, will be presenting her work. The show will also be displaying other prize-winning designs from this world-famous competition, this year presided over by jury president Yohji Yamamoto.
The opportunity to meet American fashion-industry professionals is just one of the stages of support Première Vision makes available to these young talents, many of whom go on to become major fashion designers. From the moment they are selected as finalists, these budding designers receive support from Première Vision: putting them in contact with exhibitors ready to provide fabrics and textile supplies free of charge, providing them a window at Première Vision Paris, the nexus of the world's fashion professionals, and more. Ragne Kikas will be particularly accompanied and supported by Première Vision. Première Vision Preview New York provides the US a rare opportunity to discover the Hyères Festival. This special display can be discovered alongside a particularly rich overall offer, and a chance to dive into the Fall Winter trends, thanks to the fashion tools prepared by the Première Vision Fashion Team.
