Broadband TV News : Volia goes down HD route

The leading Ukrainian cable operator Volia has begun selling subscriptions what will be its first HD package.
Consisting of four channels – Travel Channel HD, MyZen.TV HD, Fashion One HD and Rush HD – it will be among the first offered by any cableco in the country and cost UAH40 (€3.8) a month to receive from January 1.
It will also give access to the on demand service offered by Volia, which includes some content in HD.
Volia has been gradually phasing in HD services, trialling Nat Geo Wild HD this August and introducing the newly launched Inter HD to its subscribers in Kiev at the beginning of this month.
