Richard Chai’s Chic Urban Collection Gives You Numerous Options for the Perfect Winter Coat

Let us introduce you to a wide selection of gorgeous outerwear and cozy fall fashions as we bring you highlights from the latest runway presentation from Richard Chai at New York’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Fashion One brings you a close up look at the designer’s ready to wear creations for the upcoming autumn/winter 2015 season inspired by the theme of “protection”.

The collection featured a cool urban palette of black, navy, cream, grey stone and rust brown with a heavy emphasis on coats and parkas from broad lapeled peacoats to Chesterfields and textured bomber jackets. Textiles and layer styling transferred seamlessly across menswear and womenswear incorporating navy and black pinstripe suits, shiny satin jackets and horizontal stripes on ribbed knits in addition to the various checked patterns, leather panels and quilted sections.

The menswear look gave a smart casual feeling by layering coats over jackets, knits and printed hoodies worn with pleated tapered leg trousers whereas a more jumbled womenswear silhouette was created from a clash of silks, wools and leather amongst giant fringed scarves, cropped trousers, smock dresses, long mesh skirts and a variety of gorgeous coats.
