Woodstock Atmosphere With Marchesa at London Fashion Week

LONDON – When the new Marchesa spring/summer 2015 collection hit the runway at London Fashion Week, nobody would have dared to doubt that the creations of Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig – which are well-known for their popularity among top celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Emma Watson and Selena Gomez – would continue populating the red carpet shows around the globe.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the New York-based label stayed true to itself. Floor-length dresses, diaphanous gowns and lots of glamor dominated the Marchesa catwalk at Banqueting House in Whitehall Palace.

Chapman and Craig obviously drew main inspiration from the hippie movement and gypsy culture for their collection. Three-dimensional flower and petal embroideries, opulent flounces and tons of tulle made for a 1960s bohemian mood with a strong feminine touch. And because there is nobody who embodies that mix of Woodstock and elegant high fashion better than Georgia May Jagger, the daughter of legendary 1960s icon Mick Jagger opened Marchesa's anniversary show in a tiered tulle gown with floral embellishments.

We are pretty sure, it will not take long until we see the first silver screen starlets parading the red carpet in some sophisticated bohemian chic.
