Katy Perry for L’Officiel Paris September 2012

Pop music superstar Katy Perry is bewitching on the cover for L’Officiel Paris’s September 2012 issue. Cuneyt Akergiou photographed the singer in edgy style with newly colored ginger locks. Vanessa Bellugeon styled the cover and inside editorial with the latest fall collections provided by Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Jil Sander, and Alexander McQueen; proving that black is the season’s ultimate color of choice. Ensembles were lavish and delicate, coated in intricate lace patterns, new-age vinyl like materials, billowing mesh overlays, or sweet graphic floral appliqués. In addition to Perry’s red tresses, the crimson hue also popped up behind lace bodices. Accessories for the shoot included extravagant feather trimmed headpieces, hats with floral and lace netting, or circle pendent chokers. The dark, gothic feeling of the editorial is a bit of a detachment for Perry; normally seen in signature color-rich pop-art fashion pieces.
