Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week 2012

The Miami Metropolitan International Fashion Week commenced May 24th through the 26th in the downtown area of Miami, Florida. The three day event was hosted at the contemporary art space, LMNT. The location provided an ideal backdrop to the fashions showcased at the debut season of MMIFW. Talented designers came from various countries around the world, including Russia, Saudi Arabia, England, Puerto Rico, Colombia, and Mexico. The action-packed event featured over 15 designers, presenting the season’s best daywear, eveningwear, swimwear, and accessory collections. Paul Mitchell was the official sponsor for hair, partnering with XES cosmetics to provide makeup to the show’s models. Rich fabrics, lavish layers, and bold patterns were popular trends for daywear and eveningwear ensembles. Elegant dresses with flowing trains and transparent cut-outs, ombre jumpsuits, and animal prints also graced the runway. The overall compilation was a brilliant mix of recognized and emerging talent in the fashion industry.
